Borneon Gawai Sarawak: June 2018

Gawai Dayak festival is an annual celebration by the indigenous Dayak peoples in SARAWAK and WEST KALIMANTAN.

It is both religious and social occassion which fall on the 1st June annually.

This celebration is an integral part of Dayak social life as a form of thanksgiving in marking a bountiful harvest and a time to pray for better harvest in the coming year.

The Dayaks TOASTING battle cry goes like this....HOOOOOOOOOOha!!

AND Tara..Tara..Tara...hoooooooooha!!
